... The Senior Project...

For my senior project I did a research study on the topic of forgiveness. Upon completion, I presented my findings, and had fun using this cake as the illustration of what I discovered! The cake is a five tiered, heart shaped. Each layer is a different flavor, beginning with a dark chocolate, then a milk chocolate, a marbled, a yellow rainbow chip, then lastly a layer of pure white. These were symbolic to represent the attitude of the heart as one goes through the process of forgiveness. The cake is frosted with either a vanilla or chocolate buttercream, the covered with a vanilla fondant. All vines and flowers were created with fondant and pearl dragees were used for the center.

Happy Birthday! This was such a joy to make! It was my college roommate's 21st birthday. She grew up dancing and still has a deep love for it. This cake was made with love for her! Buttercream icing covers the cake with vanilla fondant covering each layer. The ballet shoes on the top of the cake made of gum paste.
